Meet Flat Stanley

| Mrs. White's third graders recently finished reading the book Flat Stanley. In the book, Stanley is flattened by his bulletin board and is able to go on many new adventures because of his new depth. One adventure describes Stanley mailing himself across the country to visit a friend. The third graders each made a flat model of themselves to mail to someone in a different state or community, along with a letter telling about their own community and culture. They hope to receive replies telling about the place their flat model has been, and learn about another culture or community. |
