JUMP-A-THON – The week of January
29th Mr. Dillon sent out Jump-A-Thon forms to all students’ grades
1-5. On the form is a release that ALL students need to turn in signed,
even if they are not bringing in money. Turn those in to homeroom teachers
ASAP. Those that are turning in contributions to the American Heart
Association may do this anytime between now and February 16th. All
money should be turned in on Friday the 16th. Donations of money will
be sent out Tuesday, February 20th in order for students to get their
prizes in about 3-4 weeks. Each class will jump rope in class the week
of February 12th – February 16th. During those class times the
students may bring water bottles and appropriate music if they wish.
Have fun and “Happy Jumping”! |

SCHOOL FEES:
A letter to parents has been sent out to students with outstanding fees. We ask that fees be finalized at this time. We are now beginning the 2nd semester and report cards and/or special activities may be withheld. If you need special payment arrangements or qualify for fees to be waived, call the office to request a waiver form. |
APPLES FOR THE STUDENTS: Washington School is participating in the Giant Eagle Apples for the students program. Giant Eagle provides the opportunity for schools to get FREE computers and educational related equipment into our classrooms. REGISTER NOW AT 1-800-474-4777 AND ENTER OUR SCHOOL ID# 2978, and then SHOP with your Giant Eagle Card for credits. TYSON A+ is a new rewards program that we are participating in. The Tyson Company is offering 24 cents for each clipped coupon on Tyson frozen food products. Look for those at the end of Tyson boxes or on bags (marked (Tyson A+ ) of the frozen food. This is a wonderful way to bring in money for our school! Money will go directly to benefit our students. Coupons can be sent to the school in an envelope marked TYSON A+. Any questions please call the office. Thank you for your continued support. |
RECESS:
Please make sure that your child is dressed appropriately for the
weather, as students will be
going outside each day unless it is raining. Boots, hats, gloves & coats
are a must! You may consider sending an extra change of cloths to be
kept at school. This may save you a trip to school, as slips in the
snow can happen! District policy requires that students who are not
to go outside need to have a note from the doctor to stay in if more
than one day. However, if your child is ill, please keep them home.
We believe that in almost all cases, students who cannot participate
fully in school activities should have the extra care that can only
be given at home.
