Curt Hamilton: Head Varsity Coach

Curt is back for his second term as Head Wrestling Coach for the Dukes. He was head coach from
1997 to 2001 before stepping down to run the
Middle School program for two years.
In his final season as head coach the first time around in 2001 the Dukes went undefeated and won the N.B.C. Title, Sectional Title, and finished 4th at the Firestone District.
After graduating from West Branch High School in 1988, Curt earned a B.A. from Baldwin-Wallace College in 1992 and a M.A. from Youngstown State University in 2000. He has taught World History and American History at Marlington High School since 1993.
Curt and his wife Gina reside in Wahington Township with their children, Jordan (13), Haley (5),
and Brenden (4).

Brian Cowgill: Varsity Assistant

Brian has coached wrestling for Marlington at the Youth, Middle school, and Varsity levels for the past eleven years. He is a 1988 Marlington graduate and former Duke Wrestler. He resides in Lexington Township with his wife, Debby, and their three children.

Alan Raber: Varsity Assistant

Alan is a 2001 graduate of Marlington where he was
co-captain of the undefeated 2001 wrestling team.
He was state runner-up in the heavyweight class
in '01 and holds numerous Marlington wrestling
records including career victories with 107.

Additional Coaching Staff

Rick Sampson, Scott Gabelt,, and Tony Thornsberry also share time
working with the Varsity, JV, and Middle School programs.


Marty Joseph is the Head Youth Wrestling Coach. His son, Brennen, is a member of the Marlington Youth Wrestling program.
