| Standard 1: Number, Number Sense and Operations | |
| I can compare the number of objects in two or more groups when one set has one or two more or one or two fewer objects. | |
| I can use numbers in different combinations to represent a given number. (ex. 5 marbles can be 2 red and 3 green or 1 red and 4 green) | |
| I can identify and tell the value of a penny, nickel, and dime. | |
| I can show addition as combining sets and counting on, and subtraction as taking away, and comparing. | |
| Examples: |
a. combine and separate small sets of objects
in story situations b. count on and count back on a number line between 0-10 |
| I can join together many groups of objects each containing the same amount. | |
| I can separate or share a small set of objects into groups of equal amounts. | |
| I can recognize the number or amount of sets up to 5 without counting. | |

| I can identify and compare time concepts of days, weeks, months and years (instructed all year, assessed during the last 9 weeks). | |
| I can order events based on time. | |
