4th Nine Weeks

Phonemic Awareness, Word Recognition, Fluency
      I can recognize, write, and say the sounds of letters.
      I can tell the beginning sound of a word and blend letters to say the words.
      I can read common sight words.
Acquisition of Vocabulary
      I can read color, number, and directional words.
      I can find the meaning of a word using an easy dictionary.
Informational, Technical, and Persuasive Text
      I can tell the order of events in nonfiction text.
      I can tell about simple maps, charts, and graphs.
Writing Process
      I can brainstorm writing ideas in a group.
      I can choose a topic for writing.
      I can determine my audience.
      I can group my ideas.
      I can write from left to right and top to bottom.
      I can use correct sentence structure when I write.
      I can read what I wrote.
      I can use aids (word wall, dictionary) when I write.
      I can rewrite and illustrate writing to share.
Writing Applications
